Average settlement exchange rate of dram to dollar in May was 0.3% lower than a year ago

YEREVAN, June 4. /ARKA/. In May 2025, the average settlement exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the US dollar was 386.6 drams, which is 0.3% lower than the same indicator in May 2024 (387.8 drams). This is evidenced by the data of the report of the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.

In May 2025, compared to April of the same year, the increase in consumer prices by 0.3% was accompanied by a decrease in the settlement exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar by 1% (the dram revalued).

In May of this year, compared to December last year, an increase in consumer prices by 2.8% and a decrease in the settlement exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar by 2.5% were recorded. In the same period last year, the level of consumer prices in the republic remained unchanged, and the exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar decreased by 4.1%.
