Corporate tax collection in Armenia has increased to 265.8 billion drams; Pashinyan announced a 5.4-fold increase since 2017

YEREVAN, April 23. /ARKA/. As of April 20, 2026, corporate income tax collection in Armenia amounted to 265.8 billion drams, announced RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“After the 2018 revolution, we reduced the corporate income tax rate from 20% to 18%,” he recalled at a government meeting on Thursday.

The prime minister reported that, compared to 2017, corporate income tax has increased 5.4-fold, or 444%.

He estimates that this increase is due to several factors. “Firstly, part of the previously shadow economy has been brought out of the shadows and is now being channeled into the state budget to benefit public needs,” Pashinyan said.

At the same time, according to Pashinyan, the growth is also due to the expansion of economic activity.

“On the other hand, we have ensured economic growth, and since 2018, Armenia has recorded growth rates exceeding both global indicators and the EAEU average,” he said. ($1 – 372.38 drams)
