IMF confirms its Armenian economy forecast

YEREVAN, December 10, /ARKA/. The International Monetary Fund has left unchanged its forecasts about Armenian economic growth for next year, IMF outgoing Resident Representative Nienke Oomes told ARKA today.

‘We think that the full-year economic contraction in 2009 will be 15.6% and the next year’s growth –will be 1.2%,’ she said.

The IMF has predicted that Armenian economy will grow by 3% in 2011, by 3.5% in 2012, by 4% in 2013 and by 4.5% in 2014. -0-
