Average number of listed employees reduces 3.6% in Armenia in 2009

YEREVAN, February 18. /ARKA/. The analysis of large taxpayers’ 2009 indicators shows that Armenia’s average number of listed employees reduced 3.6% in 2009, compared with 2008, to 102,039.

The funds earmarked for paying salaries grew 3.7% to AMD 169.9 billion.
According to the analysis, large taxpayers’ overpays totaled AMD 67.9 billion, of which AMD 44.1 billion on VAT and AMD 13.1 billion tax liabilities.

In 2009, AMD 18.1 billion was returned on overpaid VAT. ($1 = AMD 381.33). –0—
