Time deposits from individuals and private entrepreneurs grow last year by 42.2% to 248.1 billion drams

YEREVAN, March 15, /ARKA/. The volume of time deposits in Armenian banks, attracted from individuals and private entrepreneurs grew last year by 42.2% to 248.1 billion Drams.

According to provisional reports of the banks for Q4, 2009, Unibank was the leader, accounting for 18.3% of all time deposits, attracted from individuals and private entrepreneurs. Time deposits made some 46.9% of Unibank’s aggregate liabilities.

The list of leading five banks included also HSBC Bank Armenia-33.3 billion Drams, Ardshininvestbank-30.1 billion Drams, ACBA Credit Agricole BankБанк-20.3 billion Drams and Armbusinessbank -17.7 billion Drams.

According to ARKA data, the overall volume of time deposits of individuals and private entrepreneurs totaled late last year 339.7 billion Drams, of which 91.5 billion Drams were call deposits. At that the total liabilities of the banks reached 1.059.3 trillion Drams. There are 22 commercial banks in Armenia with branches. ($1 – 392.62 Drams). -0-
