Armenian Converse Bank launches e-Converse internet-banking service

YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Converse Bank has launched e-Converse internet-banking service, the bank’s press office reported on Tuesday.

The bank will run this “e-Converse – Everywhere Together 24/7” unprecedented campaign until September 1.

All participants can enjoy this service for nothing from ant spot of the globe and manage their money in 24/7 mode from home, office, café or while traveling.

They can transfer money, pay their bills, operate noncash transfers, send money to accounts on MasterCard,

АrCa and VISA cards, effect deposit agreements and carry out other operations.

This service also offers data on deals and balances and other information.

It is necessary to have an account in Converse Bank, a computer and e-mail address to enjoy e-Converse internet-banking service.

Converse Bank was registered on December 20, 1993.

In February 2007, Eduardo Eurnekian, Argentine entrepreneur of Armenian descent, bought 95% of the bank’s shares.

The remaining 5% belong to Armenian Apostolic Church.

According to ARKA News Agency’s data, Converse Bank’s assets totaled about AMD 80 billion and liabilities AMD 67.4 billion and its total capital amounted to AMD 12.6 billion and credit portfolio AMD 46 billion by March 31, 2010.

The bank’s liabilities to clients totaled AMD 57.3 billion by late March and its net profit for the first quarter of this year amounted to AMD 624.3 million.

Converse Bank has 25 branches with 564 personnel in 13 cities.
