More than half of Armenian respondents expect a second wave of crisis

YEREVAN, June 30, /ARKA/. Armenia is set to go through a second wave of economic crisis, according to findings of an online public opinion poll on www.armbanks.am. More than half of visitors-57%- said there is no way for Armenia to avoid a second stage of economic downturn. Some 31% of visitors were optimistic saying the crisis was retreating. Twelve percent of visitors were not sure whether their country would experience a crisis again or not.

The online poll was conducted at www.armbanks.am from March 2 to June 28. The questions were answered by 164 visitors.

The net inflow of cross-border transfers in favor of individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the banking system of the Republic of Armenia, in January-June 2025 amounted to $587.6 million against $595.4 million in January-June 2024, according to the report of the Central Bank of the Republic.
