Own Capital of Insurance Companies Of Armenia Was 11.49 Billion Drams In The Q2 Of 2010

ЕРЕВАН, 4 августа. /АРКА/. Own capital of insurance companies operating in Armenia was 11.49 billion drams in the 2nd quarter of 2010 vs. 12.23 billion drams of the 1st quarter of 2010 reduced by 6.1%, review of CB Armenia on the activity of insurance companies for the first half years of 2010 states.

Accumulated income of insurance companies was 1396 million drams in the 2nd quarter of 2010 (increase of 13.4% or 165 million drams compared with the first quarter of 2010). About 11 million is the income of this year.

Total volume of charter capital of these companies remained unchanged as of June 30, 2010 making 9.654 billion drams reduced by 9.4% compared with the 1st quarter of 2010. Total assets of insurers of Armenia were 17.24 billion drams at the end of June vs. 16.81 billion drams as of May 31, 2010, cash money and their equalized amounts – 34 million drams vs. 19 million drams as of March 31, 2010.

Total liabilities of Armenian insurers were 5.8 billion drams in the 2nd quarter of 2010 increased by 25.6% compared with the first quarter of 2010 and the size of insurance reserves – 2968.1 billion drams (decline of 11.2%).

As of June 30, 2010, 12 insurance companies operate in Armenia. Control over insurance market is implemented by CB Armenia since January 1, 2006, i.e. the system of united financial control. ($1 – 367.75 drams). –0—
