Total capital of Armenian insurance companies rises by 10.19% to 12.7 billion drams

YEREVAN November 23, /ARKA/. The total capital of Armenian insurance companies rose by 10.19% in the third quarter of 2010 or by 1.2 billion Drams, to 12.7 billion Drams. According to an analysis, made by ARKA news agency, the leading company, by size of total capital, was Reso insurance. As of September 30 its total capital stood at almost 1.6 billion Drams nearly doubling in the third quarter. The growth was 93.72% or 765.3 million Drams. The company accounted for 12.41% of the combined capital of all Armenian insurance companies.

The top five included also Ingo Armenia with a 1.570 billion Dram total capital (12.32% of the combined capital) , Раско – 1.568 billion Drams (12.3%), Garant Limens – 1.512 billion Drams (11.87%) and Cascade Insurance – 1.242 billion Drams (9.74%).

Reso was also leader by size of authorized capital -1.870 billion Drams. It was followed by Garant Limens- 1.531 billion Drams, and Rosgosstrakh-Armenia -1.190 billion Drams. There are 10 insurance companies in Armenia with 9 branches. ($1 – 361.87 Drams). -0-
