EDB forecasts consumer price growth in Armenia of 3.3% y/y by the end of this year

YEREVAN, March 9. /ARKA/. The EDB forecasts consumer price growth in Armenia of 3.3% y/y by the end of this year.

“Inflation in Armenia amounted to 4.3% y/y in February 2026, after 3.8% y/y the previous month,” the EDB said in its weekly macroeconomic review.

It is noted that the acceleration was driven by the dynamics of food prices (6.4% y/y in February after 5.9% y/y in January).

“Inflation in the services segment accelerated less – to 3.2% y/y from 2.9% y/y in January, while the growth of prices for non-food products remained at 0.9% y/y,” EDB analysts note.

Armenia’s 2026 state budget projects inflation at 3% (±1%). According to the Central Bank’s monetary policy report for the fourth quarter of 2025, inflation in Armenia is expected to be 3.8-2.6% by the end of 2026, depending on scenario (A-B), and 3.3-2.8% for 2027.
