Bank VTB (Armenia) customer awarded 200,000 drams win

YEREVAN, January 27, /ARKA/. Robert Melik-Sahakian, a customer of Bank VTB (Armenia), was awarded Wednesday a 200,000 Drams (over $550) win. He was recognized winner of a special offer conducted by the bank together with MoneyGram money transfer systems that started September 1, 2010 and ran up to December 31.

According to Bank VTB (Armenia), 9,000 people took part in the offer. Artak Khachatrian, head of a bank department in charge of retail businesses, told journalists after the win awarding ceremony that it was the first and so far the only win. Artak Khachatrian praised the MoneyGram system for cooperation that ‘allows us to make pleasant surprises to our customers.‘ He said Bank VTB (Armenia) plans to establish similar cooperation with four more money transfer systems this year.

Bank VTB (Armenia) and MoneyGram began cooperating in 2009. Bank VTB (Armenia) is owned fully by Russia’s second largest VTB Bank. It boats the largest chain of 68 branches in Armenia.  -0-
