Armenian banks’ net cash outflow totals AMD 37.6 billion in 2010

YEREVAN, February 16. /ARKA/. Armenian banks’ net cash outflow totaled AMD 37.6 billion in 2010.

ARKA News Agency’s analysis based on banks’ quarterly financial reports shows that balance of funds and their equivalents reached AMD 297.8 billion by late December 2010 against AMD 291.8 billion in late September.

Outflow from operations amounted to AMD 87.1 billion and that from investments AMD 17.7 billion, while financial activity brought inflow of AMD 79.4 billion to banks.

Forex changes had adverse impact on funds and their equivalents – minus AMD 12.3 billion.

Converse Bank had its funds grown by AMD 9.2 billion to AMD 30.2 billion in the fourth quarter.

Araratbank’s funds grew by AMD 4 billion to AMD 20.1 billion, Anelik Bank by AMD 3.9 billion to AMD 19.2 billion and Byblos Bank Armenia by AMD 3.7 billion to AMD 5.2 billion.

Twelve banks reported outflow in the 4th Q 2010. Their aggregate net outflow amounted to AMD 65.45 billion.

Nine banks, leaders in inflow, reported net inflow totaling AMF 27.8 billion.

Some 21 commercial banks with 407 branches operated in Armenia in late December 2010.
