Master Card: Amount Of Noncash Transactions In Growing In CIS

YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. Total amount of noncash transactions in the Commonwealth of Independent States has grown a great deal for a few years, Nina Willems, Regional Director of MasterCard international payment system, said Monday at a news conference in Yerevan.

She said that considerable trend of growth is seen in recent years – non-cash deals grew 10% in 2010, compared with 2009. She said that MasterCard would issue press release with figures soon.

Willems also said that the number of MasterCard holders in Armenia had grown and that the share of MasterCard in Armenian market is quite big, but added that it is not so easy to compete with other systems in Armenia, since ArCa national payment system has own clients. –0—
