EurAsEC to consider Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan’s applications for loans soon

YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) will mull over Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan’s applications for loans on June 4, Russian Vice-premier and Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin said Thursday at a session of the EurAsEC intergovernmental council.

“The applications and the program on Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will be considered,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Kudrin also said that Tajikistan’s request for another tranche will be discussed at the session as well.

Armenia has submitted five programs for obtaining financial resources from Eurasian Economic Community’s anti-crisis fund.

These financial means will be targeted for developing mining, metallurgy, IT and chemistry areas.

The EurAsEC anti-crisis fund has $10 billion in stock.

The fund extends stability and sovereign loans to member countries as well as investment loans for implementation of large projects. -0-
