Net domestic assets of Central Bank of Armenia drop by 1.03% in may to 116.6 billion drams

YEREVAN, June 14. / ARKA /. Net domestic assets of the Central Bank of Armenia in May 2011 dropped by 1.03% from April to more than 116.6 billion drams, according to its report on aggregated balance indicators.

According to the report, Central Bank liabilities to the government decreased by 10.4% amounting to minus 78.2 billion drams. The liabilities to commercial banks decreased by 7.2% to more than 81.8 billion drams at the end of May. Other liabilities were said to have fallen by 3.3% amounting to about 113 billion drams.

The report says net international reserves in May were more than 372.2 billion drams, but by 2.5% down from April, while the monetary base was about 489 billion drams reducing by 2.2% from the previous month. M.M. -0- ($ 1-376,30 drams). -0-
