Total capital of Armenian insurance companies in 2011-2013 may increase by 81.6% to 22.7 billion drams

YEREVAN, June 14. / ARKA /. The total capital of Armenian insurance companies in 2011-2013 may increase by 81.6% or 10.2 billion drams to 22.7 billion drams by the end of 2013, according to a Central Bank of Armenia report on possible developments in Armenia’s insurance system in 2011 – 2013.

According to the report, the expected increase in the total capital of insurance companies will be driven by the projected 79.8 percent average annual growth in retained earnings. The total assets of insurance companies are also expected to grow by 14.9% or 13.2 bln drams to 38.8 bln drams.

According to forecasts, total obligations of insurance companies in 2011-2013 will increase by 7.1% or 3 billion drams to 16.1 billion drams. ($ 1 – 376.3 drams). -0-
