Surplus earnings of Armenian banks in the first half of the year jump by 39.2% year-on-year

YEREVAN, July 18. / ARKA /. Surplus earnings of Armenian banks in the first half of the year jumped by 39.2% year-on-year to 21.2 billion drams, up from 15.2 billion drams from a year earlier, according to ARKA news agency’s bulletin called Armenian Banks’ Indicators for the second quarter of 2011.

The total income of 20 commercial banks (out of 21) rose to 21.1 billion drams in January-June 20011 form 15 billion drams a year before, reported by 18 banks. One bank said it sustained 150.5 million drams in losses. –0–
