CBA expects increase of nominal salary by 6% in the 2nd quarter of 2011

YEREVAN, August 5. /ARKA/. CBA expects increase of average nominal salary by 6% in the 2nd Q of 2011, “Program of ёof Central Bank of Armenia for the third quarter of 2011” states.

The increase is related to reasonable increase of salary in budget organizations and in private sector in the result of economy development. Updates in the increase of nominal salary in the 2nd Q of 2011 will take place after the inflation of the last months.

In the first quarter of 2012 the increase of average nominal salary in Armenia is expected by 5% which will be conditioned by the increase of productivity and reduction of unemployment.

Under the conditions of continuous economic growth, increase of demand for labor force will continue in the second half of 2011 which will cause reductions in the given period of unemployment reducing by 0.6% and making 6.3% in the second half of the year.

In the first half years of 2012 average unemployment level will continue to reduce making 6.1% which will be closer to pre-crisis level.  -0-
