Population of Armenia prefers to invest in foreign currency time deposits

YEREVAN, October 4. /ARKA/. Population of Armenia in August preferred to invest money in foreign currency time deposits, total volume of which was 308.8 billion drams, states the official site of Central Bank of Armenia.

According to the data, the volume of foreign currency time deposits in August increased by 4.5% compared with July making over 45.5% by the end of August of all the deposits in the commercial banks of Armenia.

Foreign currency time deposits were 122.5 billion drams at the end of August recording decline of 5.5% compared to July.

Volume of time deposits in drams was 113.3 billion drams in August increased by 3.5% compared to July. Demand deposits were 133.7 billion drams reduced by 3.9%. –0–
