Average interest rates on foreign currency loans to individuals fell in august by 0.85 p.p. to 16.6%

YEREVAN, October 10. / ARKA /. Average interest rates on foreign currency loans to Armenian individuals fell in August by 0.85 p.p. compared to December 2010 to 16.6%, the Central Bank of Armenia says in a statement posted on its official website.

According to the statement, the average interest rate on long-term foreign currency loans fell by 0.5 percentage points to 15.7% and that on short-term foreign currency loans by 1.2 percentage points to 17 5%.

The average interest rates on mortgage loans in AMD did not change, while interest rates on mortgage loans in foreign currency decreased by 1.5 percentage points For individuals the average interest rates on long-term loans in AMD rose by 0.2 percentage points, while that on short-term loans fell by 0.2 percentage points to 18.8% and 21.7% respectively.  -0
