CBA Armenia issued gold commemorative coin “Granat”

YEREVAN, December 28. /ARKA/. Central Bank of Armenia issued commemorative gold coin “Granat”, press-service of CBA informs.

According to the press-release, 5 thousand commemorative gold coins with nominal value of 500 drams each was issued. The coin is made of gold of 999.9 probe with diameter of 13.92 mm, weighing 1.24 grams and quality – proof.

On the obverse of the coin the emblem of the republic of Armenia, date of issue of the coin “2011” and nominal value “500 drams” is illustrated.

On the top of semicircular contour in the Armenian language, and in the bottom in English “REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA” is coined.

On the reverse side of the coin in the center a pomegranate with grains is illustrated, above which a semicircle in Armenian and English languages “Granat” and “PUNICA GRANATUM” is coined. Around the contour jewelry is coined.

The coin has protruding rims on the edges from both sides.

Contours of the coin was illustrated by Edward Kurghinyan. It is coined in the Mint of Poland.

Central Bank of Armenia maintains the refinancing rate at 6.5% for the fifth consecutive time

At its meeting on June 16, the Central Bank's Board left the refinancing rate unchanged at 6.5% for the fifth consecutive time, the regulator's press service reported.
