Loan portfolio of Armenian commercial banks’ branches in Karabakh total about AMD 60 billion

STEPANAKERT, January 13. /ARKA/. The aggregate loan portfolio of Armenian commercial banks’ branches in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic has grown 40.2% since the beginning of 2011 and 5.4% since Dec 1, 2011 to AMD 59617.5 million by January 1, 2012.
 
According to the information available on the republic’s statistical service, loans extended in foreign currencies constitute 54.7% of the aggregate credit portfolio. Overdue loans’ share is 0.3%.
 
Deposits in banks’ branches totaled AMD 41182.9 million in early January 2012 after growing 19.5% since the beginning of the previous year and 1.4% since Dec 1 2011.
 
Time deposits make up 70.7% of the deposit portfolio, demand deposits 21.1% and targeted deposits 8.2%. ($1 – AMD 388.16). -0—
