Armenian banks inject 3 billion drams into education in December

YEREVAN, February 14, /ARKA/. The commercial banks of Armenia as of December 30, 2011 injected 3 billion drams into education that indicates 4.2%, increase compared to the end of November, the Central Bank website states.

Along with this, the education loans in December were mainly allocated in foreign currency – 78.7% that amounts to more than 2.4 billion drams registering 3.3% growth compared to November.

At the same time the consumer loans totaled about 217.4 billion drams growing 5.2% in December compared to November.

As of December 31, 2011 there are 21 commercial banks operating in Armenia. ($1-388.34 drams).-0-
