Armenian banks get over $85.8 mln in inter-banking foreign currency market last week

YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. The Armenian banks got nearly $85.8 million by weighted average rate of 388.25 drams for $1 in intra-banking market of foreign currency in Armenia from February 27 to March 2, the Armenian Central Bank’s press service reported ARKA.
In intra-banking market within the same period the banks obtained nearly 5.4 million euros and over 526.8 million rubles at weighted average exchange rate of 518.78 drams per  €1 and 13.2 drams per 1 ruble.At the same time, in intra-banking market of foreign currency there were sold nearly $95.9 million, over €11 million and about 80.5 million rubles at weighted average exchange rate of 389.23 drams, 522.86 drams and 13.45 drams respectively.According to the press-release, in inter-banking market , USD purchase and sale transactions were implemented in the amount of $650 thousand and 5 million rubles at weighted average exchange rate of 388.82 drams per $1 and 13.4 drams per 1 ruble respectively. Transactions in euros were not made.Moreover, dram credits allocated by the Armenian banks accounted to 25.1 billion drams, and USD credits- $33.3 million. ($1 – 388.72 drams). E.O—0–
