Armenian commercial banks sold $136.6 million at local Forex market on march 12-17

YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks sold a total of $136.6 million at the local forex market on March 12-17 at the average exchange rate of 389.83 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia told ARKA.

The banks sold also about 23.3 million euros at 512.44 drams exchange rate per one euro and 143.5 million rubles at 13.29 drams rate per one ruble. In the same time span the banks bought over $134.9 million at 388.77 drams rate, about €7.8 million at 509.6 drams and 887.6 million rubles at 13.08 drams rate per one ruble.

The volume of inter-bank transactions was $2.25 million at 389.66 drams rate per one $1. Besides, from February 27 to March 11 the banks provided 53.3 billion drams worth loans in Armenian currency and $94.1 million loans in USD. ($1 – 388.89 drams). -0-
