Three armenian insurers pay nearly AMD 1.4 bln in compulsory motor insurance compensations in January-March

YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. Three Armenian insurance companies allocated nearly 1, 357.7 billion drams  in Compulsory Motor  Insurance compensation payments within January- March of this year.  This makes up 62.1% of all compensations at the insurance market, the website of  Motor Insurers’ Bureau states.

Total amount of compensations paid by the eight insurance companies of Armenia accounts nearly 2.2 billion in the first quarter of this year.
The data shows that Rosgosstrakh Armenia insurance company is the leader in compensation payments – over 676.2 million drams. Another two top companies are Ingo Armenia ( over 418 million drams) and Reso ( over 263.5 million drams). The number of compensation applications presented to these three companies reached 6,791 within the reported period.

The Institute of Compulsory Motor Insurance has been operating in Armenia since January 1, 2011.
Since January 1, 2006 the Armenian insurance market has been controlled by the Central Bank of Armenia via  financial supervision. ($1-392.49 drams).  —0—
