Black Sea trade and development bank to convene in Yerevan on June 21-24 for annual meeting

YEREVAN, June 19 /ARKA/. The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) will convene in Yerevan on June 21-24 for its annual meeting, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a press release. It said BSTDB will also call a news conference here to unveil its strategy and business plans designed for Armenia. It said the press conference will feature deputy Armenian finance minister Vardan Aramyan and BSTDB chairman Andrei Kondakov.

According to the press release, a forum on Armenia’s business opportunities will be organized on June 22 and the 14th meeting of BSTDB managers will be on June 24 and the same day several agreements will be signed.

Kondakov said earlier that the Yerevan gathering will be attended by representatives from leading international financial institutions, including the European Investment Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Finance Corporation, International Investment Bank, Nordic Investment Bank, as well as KfW of Germany, the Austrian Development Bank, French Development Agency and Russia’s Vnesheconombank.

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank is an international financial institution established to support regional development and cooperation in the Black Sea region. The objectives of the bank are the development of trade relations in the region, facilitating the implementation of international projects, promotion of foreign investment. -0-
