Average interest rate on loans in Armenia fall 1.8 p.p. to 14.7% in May

YEREVAN, June 21. /ARKA/. Average interest rate on loans in Armenia shrank by 1.8 p.p. to 14.7% in May from April, according to the data published in Armenian Central Bank’s website.
Interest rate on loans in drams didn’t change confirming 16.4% in May, and in foreign currency- slipped by 0.5 p.p. to 13.1 % compared to April.

At the same time interest rate on loans for legal entities dropped by 0.6 p.p. to 11.5 %, and for individuals didn’t report any changes confirming 18% within the reported period.

As of May 31 of 2012 there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 416.27 drams).—0–

During a meeting on Thursday, the Armenian government gave its approval to a draft law that ratifies the amendment to the Multilateral Agreement of Competent Authorities regarding the "Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information," which was signed on October 14, 2014.
