Armenian commercial banks buy $76.9 million at local foreex market July 17 and 21

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/.  Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $76.9 million at the local foreign currency market in a time span between July 17 and 21 at the average weighted exchange rate of 411.10 drams per one US Dollar,  the Central  Bank of Armenia told ARKA.  It said they also bought  6.7 million euros  and some  661.2  million Russian rubles at 503.32  and 12.61 drams exchange rate respectively.

In the same time span they sold some $91.6 million,   €17 million and over  62.1  million Russian rubles at  412.28,  509.98  and  12.83 drams respectively.

Besides, from July 9 to 15 the banks provided 35.4 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $61.8 million in USD. ($1 – 411.25 drams).  -0-
