Consumer lending in Armenia grows 2.1% to AMD 260.4 billion in June

YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Consumer lending in Armenia has grown 2.1% since late May reaching AMD 260.4 billion by late June.

According to the information available on the central bank’s official website, consumer lending made up 18.4% of Armenian commercial banks’ aggregate loan portfolio in late June – 0.2% month-on-month contraction.

Loans extended in foreign currencies totaled AMD 42.5 billion and those extended in the national currency amounted to AMD 217.9 billion.

Armenian commercial banks’ aggregate credit investments amounted to AMD 1418.1 billion, of which 64.5% were foreign currency loans. ($1- AMD 413.94). -0–
