Deposits to Armenia’s banks up 2.4% to AMD 1070 bln in June

YEREVAN, August 16. /ARKA/. Total deposits attracted by Armenia’s banks rose by 2.4 % to 1 070 billion drams in June from May , according to the data available on the Central Bank’s website.

Deposits in drams shrank by 1.3% to nearly 321.1 billion drams in June from May. Deposits in foreign currency climbed by 4.9% to around 538.3 billion drams. Residents’ deposits totaled in 95.3% (306.8 billion drams) of all deposits.

As of 30 June 2012 there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 411.59 drams).—0–
