Armenian three companies paid over AMD 3.2 bln in mandatory car insurance payments

YEREVAN, September 5. /ARKA/. Three Armenian insurance companies paid 3 209,9 million drams (65.4% of total payments) in mandatory car insurance payments within January-July, according to the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Armenia.

Total payments made by all insurance companies in Armenia fetched up over 4.9 billion drams within the reported period.

The source says the top leader in these payments is Rosgosstrakh- Armenia – 1,526,3 million drams. Ingo Armenia – over 1075,1 million drams and Reso- over 608,5 million drams come next.

At the same time, the three companies made 15716 mandatory car insurance payments.

Institute for mandatory motor insurance has been operating in Armenia since 1 January 2011.

The Central Bank of Armenia has been controlling the insurance market since 1 January 2006. ($1-410.5 drams). -0-
