Armenian banks’ retained earnings down 7.9% to AMD 29.2 bln in Jan-Sep

YEREVAN, October 18. /ARKA/. Armenian banks’ retained earnings slashed by 7.9% to 29.2 billion drams in January-September 2012 from over 31.7 billion drams in 2011, according to “Banks of Armenia” financial-economic newsletter compiled by ARKA news agency (Banks’ activity in the first half of 2012).

The total earnings of 18 out of 21 banks in Armenia reported nearly 33.5 billion drams against about 32 billion drams from a year earlier.

The newsletter shows three banks, which faced 4.3-billion-dram losses within the reported period.

Thus, according to ARKA, top leading banks of Armenia are:
