3 Q individuals’ debt share in Armenian banks’ credit portfolio is 31.2%

YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. The share of individuals’ debts in credit portfolio of Armenian banks stood at 31.2% at the end of the third quarter 2012.

According to the interim financial reports, loans and other advances totaled nearly 1 473,4 billion drams as of 30 September, individual lending- over 460.5 billion drams versus 1468,1 drams and 454,6 billion drams as of the second quarter respectively.

ARKA agency analysis shows ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK as a leader in individual lending in late September. The bank’s share in the total individual lending is said to be 16.7%.

Individual lending is 48.7% or 76.9 billion drams in the total credit portfolio of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK.

Leading individuals lenders are also VTB Bank (Armenia) ( over 59.8 billion drams, 41% share in credit portfolio), Ardshininvestbank (over 39.9 billion drams, 33.5%), Unibank (nearly 33.6 billion drams, 36.9 %) and Converse bank ( 32.6 billion drams, 52.9%).

As of 30 September there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 408.56 drams).—0-
