Armenian banking system’s average profit per full-time employee in quarter three was about 2. 7 million drams

YEREVAN, November 12. / ARKA /. Armenia’s banking system’s average profit per full-time employee in the third quarter of 2012 was about 2. 7 million drams (around $6,600), according to findings of an analysis made by ARKA news based on interim financial reports of 21 Armenia-based banks.

The monthly average profit per employee was 894,3000 drams (about $2,201). The per employee assets at the end of September 30 were equal to about 211 million drams or $519,000. As of September 30, all 21 commercial banks operating in Armenia had on their payrolls 10,895 people, while their aggregated income in the third quarter of 2012 amounted to about 29.2 billion drams (about $ 71.8 million).

The largest average profit per employee was boasted by HSBC Bank Armenia – 14.7 million drams ($36,200). In fact, one bank employee secured 4.9 million drams profit a month ($12,000). One employee-managed assets were valued 531 million drams ($130,000), the highest figure among local banks.

Armswissbank came in second with average 11.4 million dram average profit per employee ($28,000). The third was Bank Mellat – 10.611 million drams ($26,000), or 3.5 million drams per month (about $8,600). Other leaders were Ameriabank (9.958 million drams or $24,500) and Prometey Bank (6.3 million drams, or about $15,500). Overall, 17 banks reported more than 1 million drams per employee profit, and four banks less than 1 million drams. ($ 1 – 408.91 drams). -0-
