Average deposit interest rate grows by 0.5 p.p. up to 8.8% in Armenia in October

YEREVAN, November 28. /ARKA/. Average interest rate on bank deposits grew by 0.5 p.p. up to 8.8% in Armenia in October against September, the Central Banks of Armenia reports.

Average interest rate on short-term deposits in drams was 9.9% in October, a 0.1 percentage point increase against the month before.

A 0.9 p.p. increase was recorded in average interest rate on short-term deposits in foreign currency, hence, the rate was 6.6% in October.

Average interest rate on long-term deposits in drams was 10.8% in the period (0.2p.p. reduction) and that on long-term deposits in foreign currency was 8.1% (1.3p.p increase). ($1=406.32drams).–0–
