Transactions totaling AMD 6.1 billion operated abroad via Armenian banks’ plastic cards in October

YEREVAN, December 18. /ARKA/. Some 112,900 transactions totaling AMD 6.1 billion were operated outside of Armenia in October via all the types of plastic cards issued by the country’s banks, the press office of the Central bank of Armenia reports.

Cashless transactions carried out in October by using these cards totaled AMD 4.3 billion, 3.6% less than in the previous month.

According to the report, cash equal to AMD 1.8 billion was withdrawn outside of the country by using Armenian banks’ cards against AMD 1.7 billion in September (2.8% month-on-month growth).

All the 21 commercial banks of Armenia issue and serve plastic cards. Of them, 19 participate in ArCa national payment system. ($1 – AMD 407.34). -0—
