Armenia’s money supply grew 1.7% to over 1,300bln drams in November

YEREVAN, December 28. /ARKA/. Armenia’s money supply grew by 1.7% to over 1,300bln drams by the end of November, the country’s national statistical service reported.

According to the preliminary information, cash outside the banking system amounted to about 360.7bln drams at the end of the reporting month, as compared to 360.5bln drams by end October.
Demand deposits (in drams) were 164.4bln drams compared to about 162.6bln drams at the end of October.

Total time deposits exceeded 187.0bln drams by the end of November, compared to about 178.1bln drams in late October. Forex deposits totaled about 588.3bln drams against 577.8bln drams by the end of October.

The share of forex deposits in money supply was 45.2% at the end of November.
Money multiplier rose by 0.1 percentage point to 2.09 in late November. ($1=405.19drams). –0–
