Armenia posts 2.9% month-over-month inflation in January

YEREVAN, February 7. /ARKA/. Armenia posted 2.9% month-over-month inflation in January as prices for food (including alcohol beverage and tobacco goods) climbed 4.9%, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

Non-food prices  hiked 0.2% in January from December, and tariffs for services—0.8%.

January’s consumer price index stood at 102.6%  year over year; food (including alcohol beverage and tobacco goods)—101.9%; non-food goods—106.0%; tariffs for services—102.2%.

Inflation in Armenia is projected at 4% (±1,5%) in 2013 state budget.—0-
