Areximbank – Gazprombank Group’s training and methodology center celebrating its first birthday

YEREVAN, March 18. /ARKA/. Areximbank – Gazprombank Group’s training and methodology center is celebrating its first birthday, the bank’s press office reported today.

“Areximbank attaches great importance to quality of services trying to bring them in line with international standards,” Eliza Mheryan, head of the center, is quoted in the press release sent to ARKA News Agency. “Establishment of the center has become a peculiar step toward fulfillment of this objective.”

She said the mission of the center is to enhance professional skills of the bank’s employees taking into account real needs and priorities.

In her words, the key emphasize is put on providing trainees with practical experience to make them able to deal with new products and services.

“Twenty two seminars have been held in the center since it was established one year ago,” Mheryan said. “Some 498 bank officers have been trained over this year. We plan to conduct 24 seminars this year, which will be focused on the most pressing issues.”

She said that the center also organizes onsite seminars in the bank’s branches.

Service quality monitoring on sites is one of the center’s functions. Results of the monitoring prompt further steps to be taken to improve servicing.

“Competition in the banking area is very tough,” Mheryan said. “Banks are fighting for every client. That is why we are constantly trying to improve our employees’ skills for improving our servicing.”
Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (former Areximbank, renamed on June 12, 2009) was established in August 1998 for supporting entrepreneurship and serving financial flows between Russia and Armenia.

In 2007, it became a subsidiary of Russia’s biggest bank, Gazprombank.

The bank has been certified to meet the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008.
