Outstanding education loans stood at 3.1 billion drams in late February

YEREVAN, April 15. / ARKA /. By the end of February 2013 the outstanding amount of educational loans provided by Armenian commercial banks stood at 3.1 billion drams, a 0.3% increase from January, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia for February 2013.

In February, about 78.5 percent of student loans were provided in foreign currency. The amount of educational loans granted in foreign currency at the end of February totaled more than 2.4 billion drams, by 0.2 percent more than in January and the amount of educational loans released in Armenian drams amounted to more than 662 million drams, an increase of 0.8% from January 2013.
