Private transfers to Armenia more than doubled in March

YEREVAN, May 13. /ARKA/.  Non-commercial individual transfers to Armenia via the country’s banking system totalled over $157.3 million in March, an increase of 52.2% against February, the website of Armenia’s central bank reports.

Transfers from Armenia abroad amounted to $63.3 million in March as compared to $23.9 mln in February. Net receipts were about $94mln in March (against about $79.4mln in February).
Remittance inflows from Russia were the largest – about $87.4 million. ($1=415.25drams).  –0–
