Money supply in Armenia upped by 1.2% to AMD 1384,2 bln in May

YEREVAN, June 28./ARKA/. Money supply in Armenia rose by 1.2% late May 2013, compared to April, to nearly 1384,2 billion drams, the National Statistical Service reported to ARKA summarizing the preliminary reports of the Central Bank.

Cash outside the country’s banking system amounted to about 353.3 billion drams versus over 346 billion as of late April.

Demand deposits totaled 159.8 billion drams against nearly 166.2 billion drams.

AMD time deposits within the reported period valued at over 214.6 billion drams against 215.6 billion drams. Deposits in foreign currency hit about 656.5 billion drams against over 640.1 billion drams.

The money multiplier was 1.94 which was by 0.07 points lower from April. ($1 – 409.60 drams).—0-
