Card transactions via internet rose by 5.8% to 2.2bln drams in Armenia in July

YEREVAN, September 10. /ARKA/. Card transactions processed through the Internet amounted to a total of 2.19 billion drams as of the end of July, an increase of 5.8% compared to June, reads the Central Bank of Armenia monthly information bulleting for July 2013.

Number of card transactions via Internet totalled 107,912, an increase of 7.9% over the month.

Total amount of card transactions through all media was 105.4 billion drams (18.3% increase) in Armenia; the total number of transactions was 1,894,746 (11% increase).

Card transactions through ATMs amounted to a total of 84.5 billion drams as of the end of July; the number of transactions was 1,570,582.

Card transactions via POS terminals and imprinters amounted to 18.6 billion drams in the reporting month; the total number of such transactions was 188,102. ($1=411.50drams).–0–
