Armenia’s commercial banks purchase over $75.8mln at intra-banking Forex market last week

YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased more than $75.8mln at a weighted average rate of 407.61drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market on September 17-20, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

In the same period, about 8.7mln euros and over 948.7mln rubles were purchased on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 546.06drams per €1 and 12.59drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, about $78.4mln, about €8.6mln and about 98.9mln rubles were sold on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 409drams, 548.10drams and 12.73drams respectively.

Dram loans extended by Armenian banks during the week before (September 9-15) totalled 34.3bln drams; dollar loans amounted to a total of $32.7mln. ($1=406.71drams).–0–
