American Express cards celebrate three years of presence in Armenia

YEREVAN, November 28. /ARKA/. “Three years ago ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK in partnership with American Express ® Gold issued the first American Express ® Gold cards in Armenia, making the services of this 150 year-old company available also to clients in Armenia,’ ACBA- CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK said today in a press release on the occasion of the three- year presence of American Express in Armenia.

ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK holds the exclusive right to issue and service American Express cards.

Presently ACBA- CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK offers two types of American Express cards –American Express ® Gold, which provides cardholders with a wide range of exclusive opportunities and privileges associated with the American Express brand, including a full package of travel insurance, purchase insurance and insurance of financial resources against fraud, as well as road assistance.

Besides, cardholders are eligible to American Express Membership Rewards bonus program, enabling them to collect points and exchange them for various goods and services. Cardholders can also take advantage of American Express Selects’ special offers of international and local retail -service businesses.

“The arrival of American Express in Armenia has contributed to the development of healthy competition for the benefit of domestic consumers,” the press release says.

In September 2011, the bank issued American Express Blue cards, designed for advanced users. It is a credit card providing financial flexibility, world class customer service, as well as a variety of reward and benefit programs aimed at meeting the requirements of creative people leading active lifestyle.

On the occasion of the three-year presence in Armenia the bank and American Express have prepared special offers for their Armenian cardholders.

As part of Membership Rewards program American Express Gold cardholders, as well as those who will obtain it from November 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014 will have a unique opportunity to gain additional 40,000 MR points, which is equivalent to the cost of an air ticket from Yerevan to Paris and back to Yerevan. Additional points will be provided to all those customers who will make one million drams worth monthly payments within six subsequent months.

Beginning from November 11, 2013 it takes only 72 hours for issuance of American Express Blue cards without additional documents and guarantors.

In addition, the bank offers its customers an opportunity to choose a service payment option – monthly or annually. The average service fee for American Express Gold card is 5000 drams per month or 50,000 drams a year. The service fee for American Express Blue card is 1,500 drams a month or 15,000 drams a year.
