Armenia’s monetary base shrinks 0.5% to AMD 719.1 billion in October

YEREVAN, November 29. /ARKA/. Armenia’s monetary base contracted by 0.5% in October, compared with September, to about AMD 719.1 billion, the National Statistical Service reported today referring to the central bank’s preliminary figures.

Cash outside of the central bank amounted to AMD 408.6 billion in October against AMD 408 billion in September.

Mandatory reserves in drams totaled over AMD 178.5 billion in late October after shrinking 1.9% over the month, and those in foreign currencies grew 0.5% to AMD 129 billion.

Net international reserves less funds from privatization grew 27.4% in October, compared with September, to about AMD 493.1 billion.

Net internal assets totaled over AMD 225.9 billion against about AMD 43.7 billion in September. ($1 – AMD 403.92). —0—-
