Amount of transactions made abroad by using Armenian banks’ cards grows 8.1% to AMD 6.2 billion in October

YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. Transactions made by using Armenian commercial banks’ plastic cards outside of the country over October 2013 total about AMD 6.2 billion – 8.1% month-on-month growth, the Central Bank of Armenia says in its monthly report.

Some 116,380 transactions were operated in October 2013 – 9.9% more than in September 2013.

Cashless card transactions operated abroad in October 2013 amounted to AMD 4.3 billion – 9.1% month-on-month growth.

Encashment through Armenian banks’ plastic cards outside of the country in September amounted to 1.9 billion – 6.5% growth.

Twenty one commercial banks operating on Armenia’s territory issue and service plastic cards, and 19 of them participate in ArCa national payment system. ($1 – AMD 404.84). —0—
