Foreign currency household deposits at AMD 512.2 bln in Armenia in October

YEREVAN, December 13. /ARKA/. Foreign currency household deposits in Armenia’s commercial banks totaled in 512.2 billion drams in October 2013, which was 16.1% higher from the beginning of the year, the Central Bank posted on its official website.

Foreign currency time deposits by households were over 442.79 billion drams or nearly 86.4% of the overall foreign currency household deposits, an 18.8% increase compared to the beginning of the year.

Local currency (AMD) household deposits were 236.9 billion drams in the reporting month, a 20% decrease compared to the beginning of the year.

Overall deposits in commercial banks were over 1,456.8 billion drams late October, 20.2% increase.
