Armenian credit organizations’ investments last year surged by 21.4 percent to 159.6 billion drams

YEREVAN, February 26. / ARKA /. Armenian credit organizations’ investments surged by 21.4 percent last year to more than 159.6 billion drams, according to ARKA news agency’s “Credit Organizations of Armenia” bulletin for the fourth quarter of 2013.

The leading organization among all 33 organizations in terms of credit investments was the National Mortgage Company, which accounted last year for about 14.96 % of all investments of all credit organizations.

As of December 31, 2013 the company’s credit portfolio stood at about 23.9 billion drams having grown by 24.1 percent from the previous year.

The top five organizations in terms of credit investments also included Finka – about 22.5 billion drams, an increase of 28.7% (it accounted for 14.06% of all credit investments), Norvik – more than 15.7 billion drams , down 0.1% ( 9.87% ) , Aregak – about 13.6 billion drams , an increase of 20.5% (8.52 %) and Kamurj – more than 10.2 billion drams , an increase of 48 7% ( 6.42 %).
